To avoid jams, don’t load already printed pages into the paper cassette. As for the test page when I turn the printer on it was disabled, nor does it print out the test page once it is added as a printer in XP; it just gets an error. I bought this from eBay. He said the time sheet spec for the job was 1. I also tried that ID 4 o get a print of info but nothing happened Or, unpredictably, it wil print the left part of a document on the right with the right part of the document on the left–plus a blank inch wide column separating them from top to bottom. The rotary selector like a switch at the back of the computer is set at 0. Pulling lqserwriter it won’t do it as you’ve already found out. Have not tapped the tray out yet.

Because a toner cartridge is cheap, it doesn’t mean that it will give you less cost per page as a more expensive toner cartridge. Try a different number, that’s what I had to do in order for 630 printer to work at first.

How do I check the thermal fuse? Regarding the test print — I’ve never figured out how to print it out — Has any one else figured it out??? I tested it and it works ok but i want to clean it inside could you help me with some service manual pdf or the URL that I could look for? It can deal with bigger files? Has any one else encountered this? The paper tray has a pin on each side and drop into a shallow well in the closed position.
We live with the streaks and the fades okay, these are proofs after all.
I’m using the select on an XP machine with a parallel cable. The troubleshooting guide Laserwrtier downloaded doesn’t even mention that part. I can print sheets and then I get a paper jam loading from the cassette before printing, not 630. I just recived this printer as a handme down and my only complaint is its soooo slow I am currently running my Laserwriter on an old Mac running os 8.
Any thoughts or suggestions to fix this problem would be welcome.

It sounds as though you and I have the same problem. How important is the age of the cartridge? Where can I get a replacement? No burn marks, bubbles, etc The toner cartridge is 2 year old. I checked the manual already, but still confused me. The cassette supplied with your printer holds up to sheets of copier-weight bond paper.
Any ideas on how to tackle the problem? If you are lucky, the front surface is dirty, just wipe it clean.

The would act like it was printing and then print a garbage line. I did some basic troubleshooting by opening the printer up and shorting the print engine test pin. Does anyone know if this is could cause a breakage in the printer itself?
